Client Reviews for Casa do Picasso

We had a fantastic week in this beautiful house even the rain couldn't take away from the beautiful surroundings and the great atmosphere of this house, everything we needed was provided for, thankfully the weather improved and we enjoyed the pool and garden. The area has many places to explore, a real treat is the winery Brejoeira Palace, beautiful house and garden. Porto and Porto FC also worth a visit too. Enjoyed our first trip to Northern Portugal. Thankyou for providing your house.

We have had a lovely relaxing week. We have enjoyed time here at the villa - the view was a lovely surprise and we have seen a hoopoe! The pool is great fun and cooling. Short walks from the villa are a delight - so many lovely wild flowers. We fired up the BBQ several times and cooked fresh fish from the fish market by the fishing port - we reccommend this wholeheartedly as the fish is superb. We are amazed at how beautiful and empty the beaches are and so easily accessible. The water was a 'good' (ie not freezing) temperature even this early in the summer and we enjoyed a swim in the sea. We've taken a few short trips further afield - Caminha is pleasant and relaxed, we got to Ponte de Lima on market day (huge) & Viana do Costelo. Moledo has a nice beach - but not much else. We will miss the peace and quiet and the custard tarts!

We have had a lovely week here, particularly enjoying the garden, pool and views. We have been to lots of deserted, beautful beaches and had a great time wandering around Caminha, Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo - all of which are charming and interesting. We would also reccommend the views from the top of the hill in Viana. Our favourite restaurant has been 'Praimar' in Moledo, which had fantastic clams and delicious fresh sole. For something more modern, we had a very good lunch at the 'FeelViana' hotel, which is also on a very nice beach. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

It was a happy happy week. Very relaxing. Countryside lovely, beaches superb, delightful Casa and a swimming pool which was rarely empty! Couldnt have been better.

The family have had a wonderful stay here. The house was like a home from home and had everything we needed and more. It was our first time in Northern Portugal and we thought the area was beautiful. Having young children it was handy a lot of places were in a short drive. We visited Caminha, Ponte de Lima and went on the funicular in Viana do Castelo. Our favourite beach was Afife but all the local ones are worth a visit. Thank you Antonio for offering your house for us to enjoy.

We felt settled and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The villa, pool and setting are idyllic and the layout of the house is so well thought out. The beaches, villages, towns and mountains have charmed us and we'd love to come back.

We have had a wonderful week in this beautiful house, with it's peaceful gardens and surroundings. The whole situation has been idyllic for the whole family. We have visited the local beaches, Caminha being a favourite with the kids for being more sheltered. Minha Ventura were very helpful and provided a great kayaking experience for us all at a good price....We have had time to relax in the garden and by the pool which has suited us all perfectly. All in all a fantastic week in a beautiful home in an amazing location - we'd love to stay for longer.

A week in this lovely house has passed far too quickly. We have made full use of the pool and garden and not ventured too far which has suited both the parents and teenagers. But we did visit Bom Jesus, just outside Braga, which was a spectacular sight and view over the city. The football enthusiasts also enjoyed the museum and stadium tour at FC Porto – an easy drive and car parking in the ground. More locally, Caminha is worth a visit with views across to Spain and walking on the beach and dunes at Praia de Âncora. Many thanks for our stay in this well-equipped, cosy house.

We have had a lovely week at your villa which is so well equipped and a wonderful escape from much of the turmoil in the UK. The villa is immaculate and every possible requirement for a relaxing holiday has been thought of. We have enjoyed exploring the area, also the beaches and restaurants nearby, and the local supermarket has everything needed and is so convenient.

Thank you all so much for a wonderful week in your fabulous home from home. We had had the most relaxing and chilled out break (swimming, walking, sightseeing and BBQing). Thank you for all the care and attention you have put into this beautiful villa, we really appreciate it (especially the coffee machine). You really have thought of everything people might need on holiday and all the personal touches (which are so thoughtful) are really lovely. This is a beautiful part of the world, thank you for your warm welcome, hospitality and letting us share it.
