Client Reviews for La Casiña del Picón

We’ve had a wonderfully relaxing time here at your beautiful casa. The weather was perfect – allowing plenty of time to laze in the gardens and swim in your pools. We ventured out occasionally to walk over the hills and to eat – notably in A Guarda and Restaurante Juan in O Rosal. With our best wishes and thanks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at La Casiña del Picón. The gardens are beautiful and the location is ideal for exploring all that Galicia has to offer. We would recommend this villa to anyone seeking a relaxing holiday.

Thank you so much for a wonderful week at your beautiful house. The children had a fantastic time in the pool and with all the garden facilities. Lovely walks and days trips to Tui & A Guarda.

Dear Isabel & José, Thank you for meeting us and for your warm welcome. We have had a lovely week in La Casiña del Picón – the house, the garden, the pools. Plenty to see and do in the area but also an unspoiled place to relax.

We have had a really fantastic time in this wonderful place; thank you! The house felt like home from the beginning (with the luxurious extras of pools, fresh oranges hanging from trees in the gardens and a seemingly endless choice of places to sit and read or eat together). We enjoyed daily walks in the hills and around the Muiños (mills), and down to the river pool behind the convent, and found everything we needed in the local shops. Everyone was extremely friendly, despite our abysmal Spanish, and we particularly enjoyed ‘Liga de amigos’ and ‘Pozos’ in town. Thank you so much Chiña and José; I hope that this was the first of many holidays here. Sarah, Jonathan, Joe, Will, Izzy & Alice x

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this wonderful house. It is a little oasis. It is beautifully renovated with everything you could possibly need. The garden is idyllic. We had lovely weather and enjoyed sitting in the many parts of the beautiful garden. It has been thoughtfully designed to create many different areas to catch every ray of sunshine or hide in the shade – to dine, relax or have fun. We had a great time swimming in the lovely pool and playing table tennis. We swam at midnight under the stars. We could have spent the whole week just enjoying the house and garden but there were also lots of things to do in the surrounding area. We walked up to the mills from the house. We went to Portugal, Islas Cies & Baiona. We joined Portuguese football supporters in Vila Nova de Cerveira as they won the European Cup!! And watched Andy Murray win Wimbledon! A pretty perfect week. Thank you very much for our warm welcome and for sharing this magical house with us. We would love to come back some time.

A beautiful stylish house and garden and we have had a very comfortable week here. The weather has been warm and sunny - perfect and the pool a welcome way to cool off, though there is always somewhere shady in the garden. We relaxed a lot around the garden but also went to Portugal to Caminha, Valenca, to the river beach at Eiras......also Baiona and A Guarda - lovely for food and beaches.

The owners have lovingly carried out a quite fantastic renovation of this traditional Galician stone cottage. The gardens are extensive, containing an abundance of flowers and fruit trees and with two gorgeous natural pools fed by a mountain spring, it really feels like you are in paradise. I recently visited and would be happy to talk with you about the house and the fascinating region in which it is located.
