Client Reviews for A'Rabela

A'Rabela has been a lovely place to stay. We have spent many summers in and around Galicia and this is one of the best villas we have stayed in, it's very well positioned and equipped and Pilar and Jamie have been charming and helpful. The local beach is small but has a bar and the local pizza place is fab... Baiona is definitely worth a visit and is full of great places to eat and has an excellent Carrefour for food. All in all a lovely week in a great villa. Gracias Pilar & Jamie!

Thank you Pilar, Jaime & family for your kindness & hospitality. We’ve really enjoyed our relaxing break. Thank you for arranging such gloriously warm and sunny weather too! Our favourite places were Santiago de Compostela & Castillo de Soutomaior for the history, Baiona for the evenings & the beach – especially Canido beach which has shade and rocks too. Muchas Gracias!

Thanks for a great stay. We really enjoyed the house. The view from the sitting room is stunning and the kids loved the pool. We visited Ons Island which was good fun as a day trip and enjoyed Baiona and Playa América was our favourite beach although the one nearest the house is pretty special. Thank you for the wonderful accommodation, we all loved our stay and hope to come back again soon.

Thank you Jaime & Pilar for the wonderfully warm welcome extended to our family. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our week at your delightful house. Excellent hospitality, excellent accommodation! Muchas Gracias.

Wonderful holiday. Enjoyed the pool and nearby beaches. Great food in Pizzeria Restaurante O’Carro where prawns and pizza were lovely! House perfect and well equipped. Thank you.

Thank you Jaime & Pilar for letting us use your lovely house. We’ve enjoyed laughter, peace, sunshine, the pool and, of course, the gadgets. Every room had a surprise. We’ve enjoyed trips to Baiona, a local market, the Cies Islands and Patos beach (surfing). Top vote goes to trip to Tui, walking across the border to Portugal (Valença) & surpringly good lunch at a café just over the bridge.

The welcome from Pilar and her family set the tone for a delightful stay at A’Rabela. The local restaurant ‘O Carro’ isn’t fancy but very friendly, cheap and the langostina were fantastic! There is a good local market at Nigrán where we stocked up on good fruit and veg. A trip to The Cies Islands was lovely but very touristy. We really enjoyed the house, the views & the swimming pool.

We received a genuinely warm welcome from Pilar and her son on our arrival at A’Rabela. The weather has been (mostly) good and hot and sunny and we have enjoyed the pool, BBQ and proximity to the beach. The garden benefits from a cooling sea breeze. The house is spacious and really well equipped and amply supplied with beach towels etc so we were very relaxed here. Highlights include: Trip by boat from Vigo to the Cies Islands, drive and walk on the Monteferro peninsula between Patos and Paxón – good views, the Canido coastal path and Sabaris market. Local restaurant ‘O Carro’ has sea views and good hearty simple food. ‘Cebreiro’ was good for seafood. In Vigo, we ate at ‘Gamboa Vinte’ and it was lovely. We will miss the sea views and sunsets over the Cies Islands. Thank you Pilar and family for allowing us to enjoy your lovely home. Hasta la próxima!
