Client Reviews for Casale Fonteluccia

The owner, Pietro was extremely helpful and kind! We sampled his homegrown tomatoes, his homemade olive oil and wine!

Many thanks for a very enjoyable holiday.

A very special spot, thank you Pietro. Explore many parts of the region - Arezzo, Montepulciano, Monticchiello & Pienza (our personal favourite). Also made pasta here in Tuscany for the first time & ate all 3 courses we made - Gnocchi, Tortellini & Tagliatelle with Ragu. Thank you again Pietro for the chef recommendation. Sad to leave and we will miss the daily church bells, the beautiful red sunsets & the peacefulness here. Thank you for all your hospitality Pietro.

We've had a wonderful 2 weeks here, weather variable, but always seemed kind to us at the right times! Have had a couple of bracing dips in the pool, & the hammock the most comfortable we've used! Beautiful views, house immaculate & well-equipped, Pietro so warm & generous, wonderful home-made wine a huge bonus! Cortona oozes atmosphere & we were lucky to be here during the photographic festival & for the free jazz night in the streets. Lots of opportunities for sketching. We've got fitter every day with the walk up to town - quite a breeze now! Recommend trip to Siena and to thermal springs at Bagno Vignoni & Bagni San Filippo. The first beautiful; the second (nearby) more touristy, but hot water over white mineral-deposit cliffs fascinating.

Owner of villa couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Wonderful stay.

It has been a great holiday. Great view, nice place. We especially enjoyed all the fresh produce coming from Pietro.

Perfect holiday. Truly wonderful place to switch off, unwind and do exactly what you please, or not, as the case may be! Pietro is one of those people that you immediately warm to and he has an extremely generous and friendly disposition. 2nd visit may be on the cards.

Our second visit to Casale Fonteluccia + we've enjoyed it even more than our first. Villa clean + comfortable and Pietro very kind + welcoming. Great food in Cortona at new restaurant Symposio, and Osteria del Teatro was wonderful. Enjoyed cycling, + kayaking on Lake Trasimeno as well as exploring the quiet, narrow streets of Cortona.

With the exception of the final day the weather has been beautiful, pool a great temperature & house spotless. Recommend a visit to Pienza, Arezzo, Siena, Perugia, Montalcino & Lake Trasimeno (but check boat times carefully!) Pietro is very charming & helpful. A lovely 2 weeks!

First off, we have had a wonderful week here, enjoying hot, sunny weather and spending most of our stay relaxing by the pool, swimming, reading and admiring the amazing views. Many before us have said much the same - because it is ideal for relaxing and taking in the Tuscan scenery. The walk up to Cortona took us about 15 minutes - suggest hats and bottled water, especially if it's mid-morning onwards; we did this most days... In town, plenty of places to buy provisions - supermarket open Sunday morning. Although we had a hire car, we made a trip to Perugia by train.
