Client Reviews for Quinta da Agra

A beautiful country manor, a dream of a quinta: rooms beautifully furnished, kitchen by swimming pool as well as main house. Beautiful pool ideal for families. 2 TV rooms. SPACE! Very spacious rooms, beautiful well cared-for gardens in about 2 acres, surrounding fields, own vineyard. No other houses visible. Owner Pedro delightful. Provided us in 3 visits with at least 8 bottles of his own lovely vinho verde, and 3 home-made cakes plus a farewell snack. The best holiday we have ever had.

We had an excellent holiday in this wonderful accommodation which catered well for large group of varied ages. It is very well equipped and comfortable. The area was a revelation, very attractive town and surrounding countryside. The holiday was made special by the host Pedro who was incredibly attentive to any requests and generous with his gifts of wine, fruit and meals during our stay.

Pedro, the site owner has to be the most helpful host I have ever met.

We have recently returned from a weeks holiday at Quinta da Agra, we stayed as a party of 16. The place was amazing, beautifully restored, creating an exceptional and tranquil surrounding. The pool area is excellent and we were able to swim and relax until very late in to the evening. The combination of the 3 houses made it perfect for a group made up of different families and different age groups. The owner Pedro was so welcoming, bringing us regular treats of food, cake and wine - he even took a couple of us to the supermarket on the first day, until our car driving friends arrived. He is very proud of the property and so he should be, we loved his guided tour on the first day. The town of Ponte da Lima is very accessible, and very beautiful. Along the river are little beach areas and we were able to swim in the river and Kayak, which was great fun. We hope to return as soon as we can.

The owner of Quinta D'Agra was very hospitable and brought home made food on 3 occasions as well as wine when we arrived and on our last night. He also took the first members of our party to arrive to the supermarket as they didn't have a car. The property had everything we needed and more and we enjoyed the contrast between the 17th century accommodation(all en suite) and the modern pool block with sitting room, gym and barbeque area.

We all really enjoyed our week here and were made to feel very welcome. We would definitely go back again.

This was our third familly holiday and by far the best destination. The owner made our holiday very special.

We immensely enjoyed our visit to Portugal, Quinta da Agra and its wonderful grounds. Friendly people, good wines, fine food and sunshine.

Our first visit to Portugal and we have fallen in love with this beautiful country and charming people. A privilege to spend two weeks in this tastefully restored property.
