Client Reviews for La Maison Fleurie

We have travelled before with yourselves, and can book with confidence, knowing that we will be in for a great stay. Le Maison Fleurie was delightful..... couldn't fault it.

We have had a lovely stay, the house is lovely and the gardens are beautiful! The weather has been a little bit like Cornwall, but somehow it doesn't matter in France! Thank you so much to the owners.

A very hot and relaxing week - the most beautiful garden, lovely pool and well-equipped house - and delicious tomatoes! We thought Villefranche was a lovely town - excellent bakery and patisserie. We also went to the pizza van on Thursday evening and sat outside as the sun went down - recommended. We had lots of lovely drives including to Puy-l'Eveque and Preyssac. There's no need to travel far to be in lovely environments and see interesting things - the local roads are full of pleasant surprises, for example the Church at Martignac (on the way to Puy-l'Eveque) is beautiful. Our longest journey was an hour, to the Jardins de Marqueyssac - a very enjoyable visit - like National Trust but less obviously commercial and with a much higher quality restaurant and spectacular views over the river Dordogne. There's also lots of activities for children including rope walks through trees. The vineyards around Cahors are also well worth a visit if you like red wine. Thank you for a great holiday.

We have traveled and stayed in many parts of France and Frayssinet-le-Gélat certainly didn't disappoint alongside the surrounding areas. La Maison Fleurie is situated in such a peaceful environment. The house itself is full of history and is very well equipped with everything you should need for an enjoyable, relaxing holiday. We spent most of our time by the pool and in the summer house even when the weather wasn't sunny. On our arrival we were greeted by the owner and shown around. Particularly welcoming was the abundant welcome pack which was much appreciated. We visited the market in Cahors held on a Wednesday and in Puy-L'Eveque held on a Tuesday morning. Saint-Cirq Lapopie is well worth a visit and we also enjoyed a visit to La Foret des Singes, feeding popcorn to the monkeys. Thank you to the owners for a lovely stay and for their hospitality.

My husband and I have had a lovely peaceful week at this lovely house. Lovely warm/sunny days spent by the pool and evenings relaxing with good food and wine. Hosts were perfect, very friendly and helpful. Cahors is a great town, market day on Wednesday is particularly good. This has been one of many Vintage Travel holidays and one that did not disappoint. Thank you.

An all round excellent holiday with Maison Fleurie providing all that we wished for on our honeymoon. The villa is lovely and very well equipped and the pool with it's outside kitchen was absolutely perfect. Our thanks go to Marie-Claude and Jean Pierre

Great cottage and pool - the garden room an added bonus. Very peaceful, good weather and shaded walks.

The welcome pack at Maison Fleurie was exceptional. The rep phoned us and offered assistance if we needed it. The local Auberge was booked nearly a week in advance but our gite owner booked us a meal at Freyssinet le Gelat, le Burrian and it was so good and such good value and authentic French that we returned and forgot the nearer Auberge. If you want the nearest Auberge book before you leave UK.

Enjoyed our stay at La Maison Fleurie. Beautiful weather and a peaceful location. Our 1 year old loved the tractor parked next door. Monpazier and Cahors are worth a visit. We would recommend the lake at Catus if you have children – nice beach and the lake is good to swim in. The market at Prayssac on Friday is worth a visit.
