Client Reviews for Château Le Pintre

What a lovely place you have in such beautiful surroundings. Have had a wonderful family holiday with something to please everyone. Eymet was a lovely surprise - beautiful old town.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Irene was charming. We would consider returning there.

We are a family with age ranges 73 to 12 years old and this was a wonderful villa for us all. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and the family areas are superb with loads of beautiful french furniture. The pool was wonderful, deep enough for all the usual family fun and the grounds were stunning. The walk into Eymet took younger members just 20 minutes and was all flat and easy to do. Even the Grandaparents walked to town everyday, though took a bit longer. A car was needed however to get groceries and for outings. The town has a nice range of resturants and bars and a few lovely shops. A stunning holiday. Vintage Travel were wonderful as well.

Great holiday. Owner delightful.

We stayed at Chateau Le Pintre for a week in July/August 2013 - a party of 9 family members with ages ranging from 5 to 80. The house is excellent - very well equipped and furnished, with a lovely pool and surrounded by trees and greenery. The outdoor table-tennis table was put to good use every day! The house is adjacent to the chateau, where Irene, the owner, lives. She was very helpful and knowledgeable but not at all intrusive. The weather was very hot most of the time we were there and the house is only partially air-conditioned, but with judicial window-opening and curtain-closing, we kept the interior reasonably cool. The local village, Eymet, is pretty and has good basic shops, a Carrefour supermarket and a number of nice bars and restaurants. There's an evening market in the village square on Tuesday nights in the summer, which is worth a visit - mostly handmade arts and crafts and clothes - and an even better one in Duras (about 30 mins drive)on Thursday evenings, with good street food and plenty of outdoor seating, plus a spectacular chateau. Also recommended are the fabulous medieval village of Issigeac (about 15km. away) - great antiques market on Saturdays - and the town of Bergerac on the Dordogne (don't waste money on the river boat trips - very dull!). Vintage Travel and their local rep were very efficient and professional both pre-arrival and during our stay. All in all, we can highly recommend Chateau Le Pintre for families or groups wanting a restful holiday in beautiful suuroundings, and also Vintage Travel for their efficiency in all aspects of arranging our stay.

The villa was charming and the location superb. Vintage Travel were very helpful in organising our holiday and we would use them again.

The facilities and standards of cleanliness are excellent. The owner was more than helpful on the few occasions that we needed assistance. The arrangements made by your company were faultless and should the need arise we would certainly use you again.

Wonderful holiday with very hot weather so great pool much appreciated. Very helpful owner and best equipped villa we have stayed at. Issigeac,Chateau Biron, Monpazier, all places to visit. Children most enjoyed canoeing on Dordogne, go-karting and Parc en Ciel (tree climbing with wires).

This was the most relaxing holiday ever. The house was amazing, even better than we expected. The owner was so helpful, and told us so much about the chàteau and the area. We all had a wonderful time.

Our favourite Vintage Travel property so far. Lovely furnishings in the house, and the outside eating area is ideally situated, with views of the pool, in almost constant use by the smaller members of our party. Close proximity to Eymet, and the owner's kind attention were also a bonus.
