Client Reviews for Soulages

Great holiday, lovely property, very kind hosts.

We had a very happy holiday at Soulages. It is an exceptionally beautiful property with outstanding gardens and breath-taking views. A French rural idyll.

Our hosts at Soulages were superb and made a positive difference to our holiday experience. We feel this was the best family holiday we've had. Soulages is outstanding.

When we enquired about Soulages, both of the Vintage staff with whom I spoke knew the villa personally and were able to make a specific recommendation. The organisational and administrative arrangements were impeccable as usual. Despite having high expectations as a result of the information provided beforehand, the villa exceeded our expectations. The resident owners were particularly helpful, providing a wide ranging introduction, with good recommendations about the local area, places to visit and restaurants.

Soulages was awesome - had a great time!

This was a wonderful holiday and we really enjoyed the terrific welcome from the owners. It exceeded our expectations and we have nothing but positive remarks about the quality of the accommodation, the location and the facilities available at the property. It was simply brilliant.

Soulages is beautiful & the owners so helpful. I cannot express how fantastic our holiday was. The most outstanding property I have ever stayed in, for service, comfort, relaxation and position.

We have had a wonderful week at Soulages. We have done a bit of exploring, some of us very energetically by bicycle – up and down, up and down, and some of us by car: Najac, Cordes, Monesties, we thought the latter especially lovely. Croquet, pool and the pool have all been great fun. Our cares and sadly the days have slipped away; we are all sorry to go and would love to have stayed longer. Thanks again.

For us, a wonderful interlude in the stressful process of house-moving in the UK. Such a welcoming home and amazing vistas all around. We’ve been amazed at the spectacle of butterflies amongst the lavender; the smell will linger with us! Woodpeckers pecking, the chatting frogs and the magical night jar, all make this a very special place. We explored Najac and Cordes (stunning village, but extremely quiet, even in the evening). Off road cycling was fun and exhausting! Canoeing was pleasant on a grey day. But, of course, most of all we enjoyed the pool and gardens and appreciating the skilful landscaping and beautiful serenity of Soulages.

We came with every intention of seeing the sights, cycling for miles, kayaking the rivers…but found ourselves seduced by the sheer beauty and tranquillity of Soulages with the result that the most adventurous trip took only as far as Najac! We have topped up our tans, honed our skills at croquet and pool and chilled out during the hottest days of the year – we now return refreshed and re-invigorated – a perfect tonic! Thank you to the owners for giving us a little slice of paradise!
