Client Reviews for O Bergando

Really good holiday and loved Galicia. The house is very well presented, and the owner and her staff lovely. Lots of space, nice pool and very comfortable rooms.

We had a lovely and very successful holiday, thank you. We loved the house, loved the village, loved the people, loved the situation - loved everything.

Fab house, great pool, great food, beautiful location. Our gang of 15 had a wonderful time.

Our family celebration was greatly enhanced by the welcome and friendly help of Carmen the owner and Victoria. A mixture of pool, old towns of Pontevedra and Santiago beautiful beaches for surfing and something for everyone. We found everyone very friendly and the food excellent. The grand house coped well with us all.

We so enjoyed the sense of history, the peaceful location and the friendly villagers. We walked miles along the fascinating paths. The river swimming was a major feature. The small bays to the west of O Grove were just beautiful - swimming, snorkelling, shell hunting and to top it all a good tapas bar. The old part of Pontevedra is beautiful with many restaurants and great architecture. The visit to the Cies Islands was a highlight. Carbelledo was our favourite place to eat, great tapas under the grapevine, lovely meals inside. All in all a beautiful part of the world.
The Hill Family

We loved the villa - it was a perfect place for a big family celebration. It was one of the nicest villas we've ever stayed in on holiday, and had everything we could need. The location was truly lovely, and one of the highlights was simply sitting on the terrace in the morning and watching the hills and village around us emerge from the morning mist. We found the owner charming and really helpful.

Carmen, the house owner, could not have been more helpful. She was extremely welcoming and went out of her way to organise things for us. The fact that two of us spoke Spanish reasonably well was useful - it could be more challenging for guests with no knowledge of Spanish at all as Carmen speaks virtually no English. The village shop was wonderful as was the daily bread delivery - with really delicious breads and empanadas. The fact that the bedrooms each had their own bathroom was a huge plus for us.

This was our fourth vintage holiday and as always the villa met our expectations and we had a very enjoyable holiday.

The Spanish owner who lived nearby was delightful and the maid was charming and helpful.
