Client Reviews for Casa Montaña

A wonderful sunny two weeks in this beautiful National Park. Enjoyed all the lovely villages, each with their own atmostphere. Setenil de las Bodegas worth a visit to see the houses built intothe cliffs. We have loved sitting by the pool in the morning, day, evening and night, enjoying the natural beauty of the mountains, the owls, sheep, even dogs! And listening to the deer rutting high in the hills. Seeing a shooting star above us was a highlight! Thank you.

A haven of peace and tranquilty - optime! The Vintage Travel folder is an excellent place to start if you need more information. Georgina (the wonderful host) is more than happy to oblige. The highlights for us have included: the wildlife (vultures, eagles, birds, goats, sheep, bulls and much more), jumping into the lagoon at Cueva del Gato, Flamneco at "El Quinque" in Ronda, meals (espcially paella) in Grazalema and of course thos many afternoons by the pool at Casa Montaña. Raul and his family are a delight! Thank you.

Had a wonderful time here at Casa Montaña! Also had amazing weather. The pool is grear as it is very useful when it gets hots, great views looking out on to the mountains and a wonderful time painitng them. Whats not to love?

Loved the villa, well equipped and clean. Unlike previous visitors we were much lazier and took time to relax although lunchtime outings were order of the day. Can't say we "chilled out" as it was very hot! Puerto de las Palomas has stunning views and it is a lovely drive to Zahara. We have been to El Gastor the last two years and Grazlema is our preferred village. We shall be back in the near future.

This is such a beautiful area. Grazalema is so peaceful! Zahara de la Sierra also stunning. Restaurant Al Lago provided really tasty vegetarian food as well as outstanding views. Cadiz easily accessible in an hour ad a half and the streets most characterful. We have had some great walks from the campsite car park, Somancon and El Reloj early one morning. We had glorious weather and baked by the pool, where we were entertained by Griffon Vultures. The view point at Puerto de Las Palomas is a fun drive and the views to Sierra de Roda breathtaking. Georgina has been most helpful and informative when she visited. We would happily come back to this area to do more walks.

What a wonderful week we have had! The casa is lovely; it’s clean and tidy in a picturesque location. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the terrace and by the pool. The weather was perfect for us. Sunny and warm but not too hot. Grazalema is very nice and there’s lots to see in Ronda. We particularly liked the Palacio de Mondragon with the mini Alhambra styled courtyard garden. We were also able to visit Sevilla (thank you Georgina for the travelling tip), Cordoba and Gibraltar. All in all, we have loved Andalucia, so thank you Georgina, Vintage Travel and the owner.

We, like the others, have really enjoyed our week in this part of Spain we had not visited previously. The casa and pool were meticulously clean on arrival – the owners are very warmly congratulated. Like others we used the Eroski supermarket in Grazalema, enjoyed our visits to Grazalema, Ronda, Zahara de la Sierra, and Benoacaz. A definite must is the drive from Grazalema to Zahara over the mountain above the casa – absolutely fantastic views of all the valleys, eagles etc. from the top.

A wonderful relaxing week at Casa Montaña – stunning location. Will miss our morning coffee on the veranda, admiring the lovely view. We enjoyed seeing sheep go past the villa in the mornings. The weather was fabulous, and we made good use of the pool. Grazalema is very pretty – enjoyed wandering around the little retreats. Zahara has some amazing views over the lake. Enjoyed day trips to Ronda and Jerez. Watched the beautiful Andalusian Horse show. Thank you Georgina, from Vintage Travel, for all your help and advice! We had a lovely weeks holiday.

Amazing setting of villa and surrounding countryside and views spectacular! If you need a quiet retreat this is it! A few cars heading over the mountain, and sheep, but it’s so quiet. Grazalema was so Spanish and it has a few hidden gems. We enjoyed two weeks of very warm peaceful days.

A pleasant house in a wonderful location. A hot and sunny week! Although we haven’t travelled far, as we have stayed in this area before, there are plenty of places to visit. We had an excellent meal at Molino del Santo in Benaoján and walked along the river there. Admired the amazing views from Puerto de El boyar and did a walk around Grazalema village. Of course we went to Ronda – including the Noche en Blanco. Thanks to Georgina for her help and advice. We’ve had a lovely holiday.
