Client Reviews for Alto do Botelho

This was our eighth holiday with you, every one has been first class. This year the house and gardens were perfect. The house was so beautifully furnished and very well equipped, pool lovely. Charlie the area manager was very helpful and Maria did a great job of taking care of the house. Thank you Vintage Travel for yet another lovely holiday.

Another fabulous month long stay at this villa. Never disappointed with Vintage Travel and their excellent team. Thank you Charlie! Thank you Maria!

We have had a fantastic two weeks at Alto do Botelho. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Both very comfortable and peaceful. We all enjoyed the pool in the very hot weather we have had and the children have loved running around the grounds. Maria is lovely and looked after us very well - thank you. Beautiful views and a great villa.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our week at Alto do Botelho. A beautiful and peaceful property with wonderful surroundings. The pool and piano are great and we have made full use of both! Charlie has been generous too. Thank you Vintage Travel.

Beautiful villa with a stunning garden. Such a comfortable, peaceful place to stay. After two weeks here we are sad to leave it and go home.

We have spent a blissful relaxing week here. The villa, the gardens and pool are spectacular. We drove over to Alvor and we enjoyed 'A Ribeira' restaurant on the harbour front. Praia da Falesia is a beach worth a visit. We have spent most of our time relaxing by the pool - both our girls have loved the space here.

We chose this villa on the Algarve as the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. It has proved to be everthing we needed. We just love the whole atmosphere - the garden is wonderful, the pool terrace perfect and the house so comfortable and well equipped. Have been to the Algarve before so just happy to explore local bars and restuarants. Loule is a pleasant town and Tavira is our favourite with many restaurants, cafes and historic churches. The local restaurant, Ze Dias served us well but we also enjoyed several bbqs at home. Definately a return visit for us!

Having arrived at the villa directly after three days of sightseeing in Lisbon, we spent most of time enjoying the pool and relaxing by the terrace taking in the lovely garden views and indulging in the local wine and food. Did a few local trip to Ria Formosa Natural Park, Olhao, Loule and Faro. There lots of birdlife and in the gardens we saw European Bee-eater, Golden Oriole, Red rumped swallow, Sardinian Warbler, Hoopoe and Azure Magpie.

We absolutely loved the villa and setting- particularly its tranquility, amount of space both inside and outside but also proximity to shops etc. We were extremely grateful for the fantastic welcome pack as we arrived really late (10pm or so) with 2 children and it really was very much appreciated. It was a pleasure to find that the photos of the outside of the villa were true and that it was not close to neighbours. So peaceful and rural yet near to civilisation. Tavira, Salir and Alte are recommended as are local restaurants Horta and Ze Dias - both of which have playgrounds to amuse the kids. Sao Bras also has plenty of cafes and restaurants. We are really sorry to leave - we have really loved it here.

How can a week go so quickly? We have had a lovely time here - so impressed with the villa - an idyllic spot. The breeze very welcome in the evenings after the hot days. Tavira our favourite place to wonder / look at the shops / sit by the riverfront - loved the beach and we had a very good seafood meal there. Also went to Barril beach - lovely. All in all, a great holiday.
