Client Reviews for La Olgava

Please pass on our thanks to Georgina who was extremely helpful with her knowledge of the area, it was great to meet and chat with her. Also to Juan Jose for the surprise of fresh eggs and olives!

Our second holiday with Vintage Travel and the thought the first in Orgiva was great find, but what a place La Olgava is! The setting is truly stuning! We've become avid Vulture spotters and the most we had was 34 riding the thermals above the villa! We've had super days out visiting the Pueblos Blancos, Grazalema is very pretty. The moutain drive to Zahara is spectacular with great views all around. Olvera is well worth a visit, especially the main castle and church. Mercadona supermarket by far the best in the area. Setenil is quite unique. we had lnch in Al Lago in Zahara, where the food was superb. We had a great day out to Ronda and if you want to do something unusual buy some cakes from th nuns at Plaza de la Merced, its a closed order so all done by a faceless voice and a turntable!

As per all of the earlier comments - how could you not have a nice time!

Sadly our two weeks is up and for the first holiday we can remember we would gladly stay another week!! The villa has been ideal for us nad the views better than we could have hoped for. Loevly days out in Zahara, Ronda. Stunning walk at Rio Majaceite to El Bosque and back. Plety of evening strolls down to El Gastor for tapas and drinks. La Posada is lovely for lunch or dinner - very homely. Olvera has a great supermarket (fresh milk!) but otherwise best seen from a distance. Loevly food and lots of fun at the municipal pool in El Gastor, or for an even larger place to swimm the Playita at Arroyomolinos (Zahara Lake) - shady grassy areas and a large manmade pool with a tree top adevnture which finishes with a zip wire over the water!

We've had an amazing week here at La Olgava. We have had brilliant weather allowing us to walk to El Gastor which has lots of great places for cold drinks and tapas! The pool has been amazing. We would definately recommend Ronda beacuase of its stunning gorge and ebautiful scenery in the old town. There are many shops o the main street. we went to Grazalema which was really pretty, the drive was beautiful and amazing mountain scenery. Al Lago resturant in Zahara served lovely food and we saw a beautiful sunset over the lakeas we sat on the terrace. Thank you to Vintage for a lovely week, the owner was really friendly, Georgina also gave us lots of helpful info.

Have stayed in El Gastor many times over the last 10 - 12 years. La Olgava is the best villa we have stayed in! It is ideal for exploring the local area - Jerez (sherry tasting) Bodegas (wine tasting), wonderful pueblos blancos, moutain and lake views. +++. El Gastor residents are very welcoming and we have made numerous friends who welcome us back each year. We enjoy their hospitality and the "real" Spanish way of life. We look forward to returning in the very near future.
