Client Reviews for Cortijo Las Gallinas

We spent a lovely week in Las Gallinas. A very peaceful spot. 2 days in Granada where the Alhambra is stunning and we loved the tapas bars. We then hired bikes for a couple of days. The company delivered the road bikes which was superb. Challenging but very enjoyable.

We enjoyed a great week here after a week in Nerja on the coast. Personally I found the quiet mountain location more relaxing and refreshing. The centre of town is very appealing, the Moroccan restaurant serves wonderful healthy food and is frequented by a diverse and eclectic range of customers! Out of town we visited Lanjaron, walking through te covered street in the evening. A day trip to Granada is worth considering, the Alhambra the obvious destination. The city also offers the most accessible shopping. We really enjoyed a trip to the beach at Playa de los Convelos, it offers clear water and hundreds of fish which will eat bread under your nose. I will miss the fabulous mountain view that has been the backdrop to breakfast and afternoons around the pool.

After booking online we were surprised the villa was even better than we'd hoped for. We have loved it and will definitely return. Thank you to the owners for their hospitality. The surrounding villages are lovely, thank you and see you soon.

We have had a lovely holiday at Gallinas. The weather was great, warm and sunny most of the time, the pool was really nice and refreshing and the house is really great. So much privacy and silence, that's lovely. It was really a perfect stay for our honeymoon. Our tip is to visit Granada, an hour away by car but definitely worth it. The Albacin is great and the Alhambra beautiful.

We have had a wonderful week's rest and relaxation, just what was required. Visited Pampaneira, Bubion, Capileira, Granada and the coast at Salobrena and Almunecar - all worthwhile. After the Thursday morning market in Orgiva, we were very lazy for a day and a half, and the villa is ideal for that, quiet and secluded. The walk into Orgiva centre takes around 20 mins at a leisurely pace, and coming back isn't a problem after dark if you take a torch.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The villa is excellent and the local area has lots of lovely places to visit. We really enjoyed Granada, Lanjaron, Pampaneira and the exciting and dramatic drive to Trevelez. On the coast Salobrena was really lovely and a walk up to the castle is really good.

As visitors will discover, Orgiva itself has much to offer the open-minded and free-thinking individual.

The villa is beautifully looked after - Fernando visits every morning to clean the pool - the welcome basket was a lovely surprise.

We stayed here for a week with our 4 year old daughter and four month old son and it was absolutely perfect. Getting up for an early morning swim as the sunrise hit the mountains was a real treat and something I'll remember when back in the cold of London.

A lovely place for our honeymoon break. Exactly what we were looking for, picturesque, remote, private pool. Fernando and his wife are lovely, thanks for the oranges!
