The Eden Project
Open since 2000, the two huge biomes that make up the Eden Project are full of thousands of different species of plants that have been collected from diverse regions and climates all over the world. The larger of the two biomes recreates a rainforest environment to suit the plants suited to a more tropical climate, which makes for a fascinating day of exploration, discovering exotic and unusual plants and trees, which would otherwise be inaccessible unless you travelled across the globe! There is also an outdoor area of the Project which holds plants and trees native to the UK and to the Cornwall area. The Eden project is open every day of the year except Christmas day, so there’s always an opportunity to visit this unique, ever changing and ever evolving green museum.
