Forget the time and soak up the atmosphere. Enjoy stunning views of the harbour from the Plaça des Born and take time to visit the Cathedral. Wander around the narrow streets in the old quarter where you will find some interesting boutiques and friendly bars.


Walk along the Cami de Cavalls
Walk along the Cami de Cavalls
to the Punta Nati lighthouse and enjoy spectacular cliff top views all the way. Look out for the monument remembering General Chanzy - a ship that sank of he coast on 1910. Once at Punta Nati, explore the remains of the battlements and ammunition stores used during the Civil War.

is the highest point on the Island and home to a charming Sanctuary as well as an excellent café,selling locally produced biscuits. The panoramic views are breathtaking and on a clear day it is possible to see as far as Mallorca.

El Paladar, Jamoneria & Delicatessen, has a huge selection of Menorcan cured meats, wine and cheese, as well as items imported from the Mainland. There is also a market in the centre that sells locally produced vegetables, meat and fish.


Visit the necropolis
Visit the necropolis
which is just a few minutes walk from the villa and is fascinating. The site is made up of 14 different caves, some with carvings, pillars and intricately decorated doorways.


Take a boat trip
Take a boat trip
See the coast from a different vantage point by taking a half day cruise from Cala en Bosc or Ciutadella. It is a good way to see some of the less accessible coves. Alternatively, hire a small motor boat yourself in Cala en Bosc.


Algaiarens-La Vall
Algaiarens-La Vall
is just a 15 minute drive from the villa. This area of natural beauty has two beaches which are great for swimming and snorkelling and various nature trails through the pine forest. Follow the sign to the `mirador` from the car park for spectacular views.


Hire a bike
Hire a bike
and cycle along the Cami de Cavalls where you are sure to find a quiet cove for a refreshing swim. Alternatively, cycle into to Ciutadella instead of taking the car.

Ciutadella celebrates its main festival in honour of its Patron Saint, Sant Joan, on the 23 and 24 June. Over the two days, following Menorcan tradition, the town's streets and squares are filled with horses, music, religious ceremonies, hustle and bustle, merry-making and people. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, enjoy a `pomada` or two, dance in the streets and celebrate along with the locals
