Villa Glycine 5 Bedrooms | 4 Bathrooms | Heated Pool | Table Tennis | WiFi | Restaurant 300m | Sleeps 10 - 12
Echoing the local vernacular in style, Villa Glycine sits in its own verdant grounds within a beauitfully maintained estate of similar properties. Welcoming and comfortable, it offers that winning combination of traditional Provencal charm and modern facilities and is within striking distance of the pretty hilltop village of Fayence (5km), where cafés and restaurants offer dining with glorious views towards the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.
Enter Villa Glycine and it is immediately apparent it has been designed for effortless living. The open plan area, painted in a soft yellow, incorporates lounge, dining area and kitchen. A large, plump corner sofa invites you to relax, whilst the well equipped kitchen has everything to hand for keen cooks. Three sets of French windows open onto the inviting covered terrace, the perfect spot to enjoy leisurely lunches and dinners, or indeed an afternoon siesta. From here, it is a short step to the pool, surrounded by terrace and lawn. Established shrubbery and trees enclose the garden and create welcome shady spots around the edges.
Careful thought has been given to the bedroom layout, with all three double bedrooms benefiting from en-suite facilities, whilst the twin and children’s rooms share a shower room. Painted wood furniture adds to the Provençal charm, set against a backdrop of white walls.
Essential amenities can be found 3km away, whilst closer to home, there is full access to the facilities on the ‘domaine’* which include tennis courts, an open air swimming pool, restaurant and spa. Should you wish to explore further, one of the famed ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ is only 9km away. Seillans is a delightful medieval village with cobbled streets, artisan shops and shady squares. The coast can be reached within an hour: spend an afternoon people-watching in the glitzy resort of Cannes; visit the market in Fréjus or relax on one of the many sandy beaches which edge this beautiful coastline.
* The 'domaine' or estate consists of individual properties, each with their own private pool and garden, with access to the onsite communal facilities which include tennis courts and open air swimming pool (free of charge), restaurant and spa (payable locally).
