Adonis enjoys a truly delightful location. Inside Adonis, the living accommodation is welcoming and comfortably furnished with each bedroom boasting its own sliding glass doors that lead onto a spacious terrace overlooking the private garden, larger than average swimming pool and the adjacent covered barbecue area.

Gated steps lead up to a narrow first floor roof terrace, a lovely spot in which to relax with a book and enjoy sweeping rural and mountain views.

This unspoilt south west corner of Corfu is one of the most charming and appealing parts of the island. Just two kilometres south from Adonis, the countryside around Lake Korision is revered for the variety of orchids and wild flowers that grow there in abundance over the early summer months. The lake is also home to many breeds of rare bird and is a well known resting point for hundreds of migrating species.

For lovers of ancient ruins, the Byzantine castle of Gardiki can also be found less than 2km from the house, making this property a marvellous choice for ramblers and nature lovers alike.

Prasoudi Beach is a natural, unspoilt stretch of golden sand and a 'secret' long kept to themselves by the Corfiots, who also consider the two beachside tavernas as being amongst the best on the island. As you would expect, the quality of the fresh fish served here is consistently high. Other beaches found close by are Issos (6km) and Marathias (8km) both proudly flying Blue Flags in recognition of their own high standards.

Essential amenities can be found in the nearby village of Agios Mattheos (5km) or a drive of fifteen minutes brings you to Messonghi, which boasts a more comprehensive choice. Just 40 minutes away, the rich history, gentle charm and distinctive atmosphere of Corfu Town awaits.

Here you can visit the many museums, castles and palaces that stand as testament to the town's unique heritage or just enjoy an evening stroll through the narrow streets pausing perhaps at the elegant, arcaded Liston for a chilled glass of local wine as the sun sets over the famous cricket pitch.
