For years, visitors have been charmed by the perfect stone buildings and narrow streets lined with chic shops and restaurants and mesmerised by the stunning views over the Luberon valley. We are sure that you too will succumb to the charms of this picturesque place, a mere amble from the front door of La Sarrazine.

Enclosed on two sides by a high stone wall and on the other sides by the house and a fence, the rear garden at La Sarrazine is a lovely sheltered space in which to dine al fresco, enjoy a game of table tennis, sunbathe or swim in the pool, shaped like a teardrop!

From here, a gate opens onto the side garden, with access to the house. The rooms are light, airy and comfortably furnished. A well equipped kitchen diner has patio doors which open onto a stone terrace at the front of the property.

Stroll into Gordes to buy essential supplies for breakfast and lunch, or enjoy an apéritif and dinner in one of the restaurants. On days when you wish to explore, you will find the opportunities are endless.

The Luberon valley teems with gorgeous scenery and pretty, colourful villages such as the ochre toned Roussillon (10km). To the west, L'Isle sur la Sorgue (18km), the Venice of Provence, attracts antique lovers eager to discover an original in the many shops that line the canals. Or follow the country lanes behind Gordes which lead to the Abbaye de Sénanque, on to the Gorges de la Nesque, and to Sault, the town surrounded by the sweet smelling fields of lavender.
