Situated equidistant between two golden sandy beaches in Coral Bay, Marlene is ideal for those seeking a holiday with easy access to the sea. A short walk through the streets of this family friendly town brings you to the soft sands and shallow waters of Coral Bay beach (750m) and, in the opposite direction, Laourou beach (700m), which offers a variety of water sport activities during the summer, appealing to both families with small children and those with teenagers.

All amenities are on hand too, meaning it is possible to arrive, unpack and forget about the car keys. A selection of restaurants, bars and a mini market are on the doorstep, with the vibrant centre of Coral Bay itself just over 1km away. The area is well served by the local buses, with regular daily services to Paphos Town and, in the opposite direction, the hillside village of Peyia and beyond to Agios Georgios. A day in Paphos Town can be described as a stroll through history where ancient ruins, historical artefacts, a medieval castle, and modern day cafes sit side by side.

Whilst there is plenty to discover in the area, there are days when the pool and sun terrace calls and at Marlene, everything has been designed for easy living. Recently built to a high standard, the open plan living accommodation has a modern feel, merging seamlessly with the pool terrace when the wide sliding doors are open. The twin bedroom also enjoys access to this terrace, with the two double bedrooms sharing the covered balcony on the first floor. Throughout Marlene, there is air conditioning and a cooling colour palette of grey and white, a contemporary scheme which perfectly suits this villa.

  • Please note: In combination with one or more of sister properties Andre and Georgio, Marlene would be a great choice for larger families or a group of friends wishing to holiday together whilst retaining their own individual space and privacy.

Location of Marlene

Great Things to Do Near Marlene

A town of two parts – Kato (Lower) Paphos is the area around the harbour and castle and is the touristy hub with hotels, cafes, bars, shops and from where excursions are sold and boat trips depart. However, parts of it have Unesco World Heritage status with fine Roman ruins and mosaics as well as Byzantine remains. Ktima Paphos lies 3km uphill and features narrow, winding streets around the Turkish Quarter which has been turned into a covered market. Lovely views of the town below can be enjoyed from the cafes and bars on the edge of this part of town.

There is a good choice of watersports available from the beach at Coral Bay including pedaloes, banana boats, waterskiing and there is also a diving school for both beginners and qualified divers.

Hop On-Hop Off bus excursion

The ever popular way to explore somewhere at your own pace.  The tour of Paphos lasts 60 minutes and stops at the main points of interest around the town, including the Tombs of the Kings, St Paul’s Pillar, Paphos Old Town and the Archaeological Museum.

Lara Bay

One of the most isolated beaches on the island, it is a haven for green and loggerhead turtles to lay their eggs. During the laying season (May to September) the females struggle ashore to lay their eggs and bury them.  Volunteers then relocate the eggs to a fenced hatchery, protecting them from predators. After seven weeks the eggs hatch and the babies make their way to the water.

Visit a water park

Aphrodite Waterpark, the largest water park in the Paphos region with a huge choice of slides, pools and water attractions, is open every day from the end of March to the beginning of November.

In the footsteps of Aphrodite

Paphos is famously the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, and subsequently a place of pilgrimage for the entire Hellenic world. Aphrodite’s Rock is a massive stone that marks the spot where she emerged from the sea. The Baths of Aphrodite, located between Polis and Cape Arnaouti, are formed by a natural grotto and where she reputedly bathed after her liaisons with Adonis.

The Akamas Peninsula

This wild corner of the north west is virtually uninhabited and covered with forests. Ideal for exploring on foot, it is home to many species of wildlife, flora, fauna, birds and butterflies. It is popular with walkers and maps of the walks and nature trails can be obtained from the Tourist Offices in Polis and Paphos.

Play a round of golf!

This corner of Cyprus has a selection of courses, among them being Marios Golf Park (, Eléa Golf Course ( or Minthis Golf Club (

Take a dip in the Blue Lagoon

This is a sheltered bay in the Akamas peninsula, whose crystal clear waters are usually warmer than the rest of the area.  A variety of boat trips leave from Latchi, and most include a stop off for a refreshing swim.

Anyone for tennis?

For those who wish to play, courts can be hired at the Minthis resort in the hills, where there is also a golf course.

Manolis Cove on the Akamas peninsula sits right beside the Blue Lagoon and is very popular for snorkelling.  There are sea caves to explore here.

Watch the sun setting

The Western end of Cyprus is perfect for watching this fascinating spectacle. Observing the sky coming alive with fiery crimson and orange hues never fails to please! Two of the most popular places to enjoy it are at Aphrodite’s Rock or Paphos Medieval Castle.
