Villas in Tarn & Tarn-et-Garonne

These neighbouring ‘départements’ are linked by the rivers Tarn and Aveyron, which flow through them both, and many of our properties in this area are loosely clustered along their banks.

The celebrated wine-producing town of Gaillac sits on the Tarn, as does the handsome city of Albi, home of the painter Toulouse-Lautrec. Also dotted along its length are lovely bastide towns, among them Lisle sur Tarn and Marssac sur Tarn, typified by features such as arcaded squares and covered marketplaces.

The River Aveyron snakes and meanders its way more dramatically, and has formed spectacular gorges and cliffs where villages and chateaux perch precariously. This is a great area for activities such as hiking, climbing and canoeing.
