Ideally situated on the hillside between the delightful fishing village of Tamariu (670m) and the hidden beach of Cala Aigua Xelida (870m), Can Perals is the ideal choice for those seeking a comfortable property with attractive grounds that is within easy reach of all amenities and walking distance of the many secret coves that are to be found along this stunning stretch of coastline, designated as being an area of ‘outstanding natural beauty’.

Inside, the house offers traditionally furnished accommodation for large groups or perhaps two sharing families, with the bedrooms and bathrooms conveniently spread over two levels and therefore offering a comfortable degree of independence. The ample glassed-in dining gallery cleverly opens up to convert it into a semi-open air ‘al fresco’ area which, along with its adjacent brick built barbecue, will no doubt be the scene of many a spring or summer feast.

Outside, the spacious enclosed grounds have been delightfully landscaped using magnificent, natural ‘Begur’ stone walls that wind their way throughout lawned areas and colourful shrubbery. A wonderful south west facing sun terrace, complete with a wooden pergola for shade, surrounds the larger than average swimming pool.

Tamariu remains largely untouched by tourism and still retains a delightful sense of old world charm. Its seafront promenade hosts a sprinkling of excellent fish restaurants frequented by local families and visitors that come to enjoy its truly Mediterranean atmosphere.

Great Things to Do Near Can Perals

Explore the nearby hidden coves of Aigua Xelida,

famous for their crystal clear waters and wonderful opportunities for snorkelling. Take a picnic and make a day of it, perhaps trying your hand at fishing for your supper!

Drive across to the majestic bay of Llafranc

and then spend the day relaxing on this gorgeous beach. Perhaps rent a kayak or try snorkelling off the rocks at the side of the bay. Before returning home enjoy a cooling drink on the promenade and do some 'people watching.'

Drive to the centre of Begur and climb up to the castle

from where there are far reaching views. The most noteworthy are those towards the Medes Islands, long ago a refuge for pirates and smugglers, although today they are famous as a marine nature reserve.

As you wander around Begur take special note of the houses of the 'Indianos',

the design of which has been influenced by the young people of Begur who emigrated to the Americas, mainly in search of riches. Those who returned left their stamp on the architecture of the town - one such example overlooks the small car park area near the church.

Stroll down the hill and

spend the evening in Tamariu, a favourite with local fishermen, whose colourful artisan boats provide the perfect backdrop for the handful of excellent restaurants that adorn the picturesque seafront promenade.

Catch the train and visit Barcelona for the day.

There is so much to see and do in this vibrant city. Take the open topped tour bus and hop on and off at the different sights. After a lunch of delicious tapas save some energy for shopping in the elegant shops.
