An unmissable delight for nature lovers, walkers and those seeking a relaxing break in idyllic surroundings, Casa Abuelo Fernando is a pretty rural retreat with a warm Andalucian welcome. Nestled in the lush Tíjola valley amongst fields of olive trees, this attractive property is flanked by the mountainous peaks of the often snow-capped Sierra Nevada to the rear and the undulating hills of the Sierra de Lújar to the front, boasting stunning views at every turn.
The lawned garden is beautifully secluded by foliage to one side, creating a relaxing setting for a glass of delicious Rioja as you behold the green rolling landscape against the deep azure of the sky. Alternatively, you may wish to spend a day exploring the area's beautiful mountain villages, such as Pampañeira and Capileira, which are a short drive north of the villa. For a relaxing day in the sun, a 45-minute drive directly south near Salobreña and Almuñécar will take you to the secluded coves of Costa Tropical. The Moorish city of Granada and its magnificent Alhambra Palace - a must-see for many - is just under an hour’s drive.
