Ideally situated on a south-facing hillside, Casa Verity sits adjacent to the rustic steps that lead directly down to the delightful fishing village of Tamariu with its renowned seafront restaurants, bars and local grocery store.

Famed for its rolling pine clad hills, unspoilt landscapes and abundance of hidden coves, this rugged coastline has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Sitting at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, Casa Verity is a comfortable, well decorated and well furnished property that provides an ideal holiday base from which to enjoy this beautiful part of the world.

Conveniently overlooking the pool and lawned garden is a covered dining terrace. Adding even further to the appeal is the provision of pool heating and central heating throughout the house which makes this a particularly attractive choice for holidays in the late or early season.

A 10 minute drive will bring you to the soft, sandy cove beach at the renowned beauty spot of Aigua Blava while a little further on, the town of Begur with its medieval, hilltop castle and narrow winding streets full of boutiques and restaurants provides the perfect spot for an evening stroll.

Great Things to Do Near Casa Verity

Visit the Sunday morning Market at Palafrugell

and soak up the atmosphere with a drink in the main square. Later visit the magnificent wine store of Jordi Grau and enjoy a glass of wine with a 'tapa'.

Stroll down and enjoy an evening meal in one of the fine seafront fish restaurants

situated along the pedestrianised promenade in the unspoilt fishing village of Tamariu. Evening is a truly Mediterranean experience! As dusk falls local artisans set up stalls and jugglers and violinists set their pitch. Waiters start serving platters of grilled fish as the Mediterranean laps gently on shoreline close by.

Take a packed lunch and follow one of the coastal pathways

that skirt the rugged coastline between Calella and Sa Tuna, stopping every now and then at one of the many hidden coves to swim and snorkel.

Walk amongst all kinds of exotic Mediterranean flora

at the Botanical Gardens of Cap Roig where you get magnificent panoramic views of the coastline that stretches from Calella to the cliffs of Cap Roig.

Rent a kayak from the beach at Llafranc.

Relax and spend some time on the lovely beach here.

Visit the medieval castle of Begur

then have an evening stroll around the old quarter and explore the many stalls selling jewellery and handicrafts.

Take the mini tourist train from Calella,

through Llafranc and up to the 15th century hermitage and lighthouse of Sant Sebastià and enjoy the breathtaking views out across the Mediterranean.

Take a boat trip with 'Paco Boats' in Tamariu

Learn to windsurf or rent a catamaran at Pals beach.

Catavent: Tel 972 61 22 48. If you are up for a challenge, have a go at kitesurfing - a new sport where a small kite is attached to a surfboard allowing spectacular piroutettes and high speeds.

Visit the beautiful virgin beach of Platja Castell

and visit the Pre-Roman settlement that rises above it on a rocky headland.

Walk amongst the vineyards belonging to the Celler Can Sais

in Vall Llobrega and visit the 'L'olivera mil-enària' or millennium olive tree which has a circumference of over 8 metres and is said to be over 1000 years old.

Visit the Museum dedicated to fishing at Palamós

then watch the fishing fleet come in at 5pm when the fish auction commences. Why not round off the evening with a night cruise under the stars on a traditional Latin rigged Catalan fishing boat?

Take the children and spend a day at the Aquadiver water park

in Platja d'Aro. Afterwards go into the town and enjoy an ice cream from one of the Italian ice cream parlours.

Learn to Scuba Dive

Drive a few miles inland and visit the many ancient stone villages

that make up what is known as the Golden Triangle. Stop for lunch at the Restaurant L'Arc Vell in Peratallada and enjoy a meal in the confines of its peaceful walled courtyard. After lunch visit the fascinating farm museum in the tiny village of Palau Sator.

Visit the pottery town of La Bisbal

and purchase some handmade ceramics to take back home.Friday is a good day to go and experience the weekly, colourful market.

Visit the spectacular Greek and Roman settlement of Empuries.

Enjoy a lunch of fresh anchovies in L'Escala as they are a local speciality.On the way back, climb up to the Castell de Montgri near Torroella de Mongtri and enjoy the spectacular views of both the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees.

Visit the fabulous city of Girona,

and explore the Old Jewish quarter, the Arab baths and cathedral, along with the many museums.Afterwards, indulge in some retail therapy in some of the great shops in the city.
