Campanet has a hilltop position and offers a couple of restaurants and all the essential amenities. Market day is on a Tuesday morning, the largest island market being in nearby Inca on a Thursday morning.
The island’s well-known Caves of Campanet are especially beautiful and interesting and have not been overly commercialised, to walk around the caves takes less than an hour and so this is an easy trip for all the family. The market town of Inca nearby produces a temptingly vast range of leather goods and shoes. Just to the east of Campanet is Sa Pobla which is a market town with a pleasant town square. Sa Pobla is a hub of activity on Sunday morning, market day, and there are some appealing restaurants, along with a Contemporary Arts Gallery and Toy Museum. Catch the train at Sa Pobla (6.5km) for an easy journey into Palma and all the capital city has to offer its visitors.
Easy to reach from Campanet are the beaches of Port de Pollenca which is a long beach stretching all the way round the Bay of Pollenca to Alcudia. In Port de Pollenca the beach is white sand while around the bay there is more of a shingle and sand mix. Windsurfing and kite surfing are very popular in the bay near Alcudia.
