About Acharavi

Nearby Beaches

The north eastern coastline is well known for its family friendly beaches as well as many Blue Flag beaches. Astrakeri, Almyros, Agios Spyridonas and Apraos are some of the most attractive and easily reached from Acharavi.

Water Sports

From Acharavi beach the water sports centre offers water-skiing, ringo rides and parasailing. You can also take an organised boat trip to Erikoussa which is an island nearby dotted by pine forest and olive groves and perfect for those who like walking.

Eating Out

The beachside tavernas are great places to try the traditional Corfiot specialities such as moussaka, calamari, feta cheese and Greek dips.

Acharavi’s oldest taverna, The Pump House, is a local landmark and serves fresh mussels and the local favourites such as rabbit stifado and soutzoukakia (spicy meatballs).

The Corfu Trail

You can join the Corfu Trail from Acharavi.  This is the walking route that runs the length of the island, considered a walker’s paradise.  The route is marked by yellow signs and takes in a great deal of the local scenery of gorges, olive groves and coastal views.

Diapondia Islands

11 nautical miles from the north east coast, the islands of Erikousa, Mathraki and Othoni (the Diapondia Islands) are very quiet and uncommercialized.  Take a trip on a local caique from Sidari (around 20 minutes from Acharavi). The boat journey takes around an hour and you can then enjoy lunch on one of the islands.  There are plenty of photo opportunities along the way!
