Set between the mountains and the sea, Milos enjoys an elevated position above the Messinian Gulf, with far-reaching coastal views and memorable sunsets. By day, the sea stretches out below in layered blues; after dark, the curve of the bay gently lights up, a soft scatter of twinkling lights along the shoreline.
Just above the seaside village of Mikri Mantineia, only five minutes away by car, Milos offers an attractive and convenient base for exploring this corner of the Peloponnese. The village is known for its clear waters, Blue Flag beaches and welcoming tavernas, where simply cooked local dishes are the main attraction.
One of three recently built sister villas, Milos sits between its neighbours (Aliki above, with Andreas below) and shares the same far-reaching outlook. Inside, the atmosphere is contemporary and comfortable, with light-filled, open and sociable living spaces on the ground floor opening directly onto the terrace and infinity pool. Large patio doors create an easy flow outdoors, ideal for long afternoons by the pool and relaxed evenings around the barbecue.
Accommodation is practical and well suited to families or friends travelling together. Two double bedrooms are on the ground floor, one with an en suite shower room and both enjoying direct terrace access. A further shower room is close by. Upstairs, a twin bedroom enjoys lovely views and works well for older children or guests happy to share facilities.
Beyond beach days and pool time, there’s plenty to explore. Kalamata is an easy drive for marina dining and cultural sights, while a trip to the remarkable Diros Caves offers an unforgettable journey by boat through underground lakes and sculpted caverns. History lovers can also visit Ancient Sparta, where a walk around the Acropolis trail reveals the remains of one of Greece’s most legendary cities.
For days when doing very little feels like enough, Milos delivers that too. Pool, view, good food, repeat.
