Nestled on a hillside and surrounded by lush vegetation Panorama Julia is a haven for relaxation, enjoying stunning views of the Ionian Sea.

This magnificent house, which is only a short drive from Agios Spyridon, boasts generous proportions, a calming colour palette and many comfortable touches that make you feel truly at home. One notable feature is the ample paved terrace from which you can soak up the sun and (as the name suggests) the panoramic views of the countryside and sea. The private infinity swimming pool sits prominently in the centre, inviting guests to swim into the glorious vista as they cool off from the hazy Grecian sun.  A covered dining area and pergola provide shady vantage points from which to enjoy a refreshing drink or curl up with a book.

With six air-conditioned bedrooms and four bathrooms, this villa is ideal for extended families or groups of friends seeking relaxation within in a picturesque setting. The villa is entered via the upper floor which includes four light and airy bedrooms, of which two have their own en suite, while one double and the twin bedroom share a shower room. The inviting, wrap around terrace is a lovely attribute, affording further spectacular views.

Downstairs is the bright, white, fully equipped kitchen, the airy open plan living and dining areas, with doors leading directly out to the terrace. On this level there are two bedrooms which share a shower room, plus a further cloakroom (with washing machine).

Just a brief drive from the villa are the sandy beaches of Agios Spyridon and Kalamaki (3km), and close by are charming villages like Perithia and the bustling harbour of Kassiopi (8.0km).

The nearest resort of Agios Spyridon is charming and picturesque, known for its natural beauty and family-friendly atmosphere. Tucked between rolling hills and the sea, this unspoiled coastal village offers a relaxing escape from the busier tourist hubs while still providing everything needed for a comfortable holiday. A handful of traditional tavernas and cafes line the seafront, serving delicious Greek cuisine with views of the sunset, while small local shops provide daily essentials.

Great Things to Do Near Panorama Julia

Sunset at Peroulades

Take a late afternoon drive towards Sidari and you will come to Peroulades, a small village set way up high on the cliff tops overlooking Loggas Beach. Here you will find the well-known Cafe Bar called 7th Heaven, perched right on the cliff edge. The bar's terrace extends onto a glass platform where you can gaze straight down to the sea and the cliff face beneath your feet - if you dare! Then finish off the evening with a cooling drink watching the sunset over the Ionian Sea.

St Spiridon Lake's ornithological nature reserve

A lake and wetland reserve, of great interest to bird watchers in particular, but also to nature lovers in general and to walkers. It is the temporary or permanent habitat of more than 100 bird species, as well as many rare and beautiful plants. You will find this interesting lagoon and the beautiful beach and discreet coves nearby a short distance down from the main road linking Kassiopi with Acharavi.

Explore the north-east coast by boat

Hire a boat for the day to explore the beautiful north-east coast, probably the prettiest coastline here on the island. You can stop off in any number of little coves that can only be discovered by sea, go for a swim or try some snorkelling, before heading to one of the bays (Agni, Kalami or San Stefanos) for a spot of lunch.

Visit Paleokastritsa (probably easier to get to than to say it!!)

Pa-le-o-ka-str-it-sa (pronunciation: just let it roll off the tongue!) is set around three main bays. It is famous for being Corfu's most treasured beauty spot; beware it can become busy in high season. Luxury yachts sail in to admire the back drop of the beautiful green hills around Paleokastritsa. The best way - for the views, is to go via the Troumpetas pass. Look on your map for Skipero (which is on the main Sidari road). The pass is just above.

Visit the Achilleion Palace

One of the most famous royal mansions in Europe, some consider the Achilleion Palace to be the most important architectural landmark in Corfu. Built in 1890, entirely at the expense of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria (also known as Sisi), the palace acted as a quiet retreat for this controversial historical figure. You can stroll through the lovely gardens dedicated to her hero Achilles or simply enjoy the stunning architecture.

A fun day out at Aqualand

Corfu Aqualand, near to the village of Agios Ioannis, is one of the largest water parks in Europe and features 51 slides, several pools, a lazy river and a wide variety of other water attractions. There’s something for all ages here and it is a great way to keep the whole family entertained.

Snorkelling

Head to Kerasia beach where the water is sublimely clear and protective rocks create a perfect bay ideal for snorkelling.

The Big Red Bus

Drive down to Corfu Town and pick up the Big Red Bus from the port. This relatively new service is an open-topped, 'Hop On / Hop Off' bus that takes you on a guided tour all around Corfu Town and the outlying areas. It's a great way to see and hear about the town's history and highlights.

Explore Corfu Town

See the palaces and Venetian fortresses and explore the old town that is home to the Greek Royal family during their annual vacation. Prince Philip was born here, in Mon Repos palace.

Play a round of golf

You'll find the island's 18-hole golf course close to Ermones on the Ropa Valley (west of Corfu Town). This excellent course (one of only half a dozen in all of Greece!) was created by the British during their time of occupation.

Try canoeing or kayaking

For beginners, Corfu is the ideal place if interested in sea-canoeing and kayaking as rental shops dot most of the popular beaches, while more confident and experienced sports buffs can explore the island's stunning shoreline independently.

Visit Pontikinissi (Mouse Island)

What a lovely way to spend a half day, take a trip out to the Kanoni peninsula and enjoy a coffee on the waterfront café there, next to the Vlahernon monastery, which is also an island, but has been connected to the Kanoni peninsula by a small causeway. It's from this small causeway that you take the regular boat crossing over to Pontikinissi about a 5 minute boat trip away. Don’t forget your swimming gear, as you can easily have a lovely swim here.

Visit the Durrells' home

Visit the White House in Kalami, home to the Durrell family back in the 1930's, whilst Lawrence wrote his novel 'Prospero's Cell' and where Gerald wrote 'My Family and Other Animals', both a must read when holidaying in Corfu.

A Drive to Perithea

Drive up to the once deserted village of Perithea, and explore the natural beauty of the area. Stop off at one of the cafes or tavernas set up in the mountain village and see what life was like many years ago on the island.

Corfu Town by Boat

Why not travel to Corfu Town either day or evening by boat and take the scenic sail down to the capital, seeing the North East Coast on the way there and back. Book this at a local travel office. Book early as it is a very popular way to get into the islands capital.
