Cal Mariner is an impressive four bedroom terraced cottage that offers a unique beachfront living experience. This enchanting, beautifully restored former net loft and boathouse sits directly on the soft golden sands of Llafranc beach, just a short stroll from the delightful restaurants, shops and amenities that encircle the picturesque bay.

This rare and characterful abode has been refurbished in a quirky contemporary design that has managed to blend old-world charm with modern comforts. The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area opens onto a wonderfully positioned semi-covered terrace with enticing sea views and serves as the heart of the home, providing a light and welcoming environment where families can come together to relax, dine, and plan their adventures.

The property boasts a convenient entrance hall and a well-appointed twin bedroom, alongside a spacious double bedroom with en suite shower facilities. There is also a family shower room on this main level for added convenience. Descend the staircase from here to discover additional sleeping quarters: another double bedroom with an open-plan shower area and mesmerizing sea views, and on the level below, a further double bedroom with a separate shower room and private terrace overlooking the beach and turquoise waters of the bay.

One can easily imagine this once being the home of an eccentric sea captain or weather-beaten local fisherman as the final steps are taken down to what was once the basement boathouse, where solid timber doors open out to the water’s edge.

To wake up to the sound of waves gently lapping against the shore and the fresh sea air mingling with the scent of morning coffee is an experience waiting to be cherished, for Cal Mariner is much more than just a house; it is an opportunity to create unforgettable holiday memories in this delightful enclave of the Costa Brava.

  • The beachfront location of Cal Mariner means that access to the house is via a footpath and steps.  A private parking space for 1 car is available in the village, 200m from the house.
  • There are 36 steps from the house to the shops and restaurants of the village.
