As the morning light floods through the patio doors that line both the principal bedroom and open-plan living area, it will soon become apparent what a special setting this is. To the right, the imposing slopes of El Tajo de Algarín form a distinctive landmark amidst the picturesque rural landscape that wraps itself around the village of El Gastor. Ahead and to the left, mile upon mile of rolling countryside is interrupted only now and then by a splash of dazzling white as a cluster of whitewashed village homes shimmer in the sun.

It is a captivating scene that will accompany not only your swims in the pool and your siestas on the adjacent covered terrace but also your time inside the cheerful rooms of this welcoming Andalucían home. Alongside sleek floors and crisp white walls a warm palette of colours is incorporated into the tiles and furnishings to further enhance the soothing holiday ambience. Maritime blues, soft terracottas and warm neutrals are woven together in a happy fusion of summer colours.

Protected from the sun by a screen of lush foliage, this is also home to an in-built barbecue and dining area for days when eating at home al fresco is preferred. Alternatively, the pretty ‘pueblo blanco’ of El Gastor is just 1.5km away for a taste of local cuisine in its typical restaurants whilst historic Ronda with its wealth of bustling shops and eateries and is a scenic 35 minute drive to the south.
