With far-reaching panoramic sea views, Vista Murada sits in a most enviable position close to the attractive village of Porto Colom. Lush green gardens with mature palm trees, an inviting infinity pool and shaded terraces combine to help unwind within these tranquil natural surroundings.

A stone clad 'finca' with defined rustic character, cobbled terraces, suntrap niches complemented by natural shade from swaying palms and creeping vines plus more than enough grass areas to keep the children at bay, Vista Murada does an excellent job at impersonating a Spanish 'mirador' with terrace balustrades affording spectacular views across rural landscapes as they descend towards the glistening Mediterranean – certainly views that infinity pools were invented for.

As captivating as the picturesque outdoors is, the interior cannot be ignored. Creating a beautiful homely feel, spacious rooms and modern furnishings create the perfect family retreat. The well equipped kitchen opens out onto a side terrace, so you can rustle up a coffee and croissant in the morning and slip outside without disturbing anyone. Four bedrooms (two en suite) provide the perfect set up with those on the first floor opening out onto a shared sun terrace where the outstanding countryside vistas can be savoured and truly appreciated. A recreation room offers the chance of a game or two of table tennis or the option to work up a sweat on the exercise machine before stepping outside for a relaxing dip.

An ideal base to explore the south-east coast of Mallorca, Porto Colom is just a short drive away. Maintaining its original charm, the village is nestled around a large sheltered bay with a quayside embracing a handful of restaurants and cafés offering all levels of dining experiences. An abundance of sandy stretches of beach are also within easy reach and certainly enough to try a different one each day of the week. Ideas to fill your days don't stop there: rubbing shoulders with the locals at a weekly market, watersports in the clear waters of the bay, a round of golf/breakfast at the club house or simply becoming part of the holiday scene by wandering along the paved streets of Cala D'Or, occasionally popping in to a boutique or selecting an icecream from one of the many colourful stalls huddled in the centre of this cosmopolitan resort.

A boat trip to the Island of Cabrera

A National Park and Marine Reserve, this makes a wonderful day trip by boat to the Island of Cabrera, a small Balearic Island odd Mallorcas South East corner. Take a picnic or buy lunch on board. The boats leave quite early from Colónia de Sant Jordi.

It is worth the drive to the top of the hill of Sant Salvador, near to Felanitx.
