Caves and tree climbing
Les Grottes de Saint Cézaire are a must-see whilst staying here, a chance to be wowed by nature’s marvels. A guided tour of the caves reveals many draperies, stalactites and stalagmites, as well as an underground river at the bottom!
On the same site, there is a ‘go ape’ style adventure park where would-be monkeys can tackle rope swings, bridges, zip wires and nets through the treetops.
Markets
St Cézaire holds a small market every Tuesday morning and a more extensive one every Saturday morning, so you can buy fresh produce to cook or barbecue at your villa.
During July and August, a craft market is held in the village on Thursday evenings, with stalls selling locally crafted goods and gifts.
Get active
Energetic souls can practise tennis and horse riding at St Cézaire, and there are several world class golf courses in the Grasse area.
Bicycles can be hired in nearby Montauroux. Family friendly routes on the level can be found, such as on the Caille Plain, but keen cyclists will be particularly happy in this area with its abundance of winding hill roads!
Lake St Cassien
This large lake just to the south of St Cézaire makes for a lovely day out in an unspoilt setting. Little footpaths around the lake’s unusual fjord-like shoreline offer up beautiful ever-changing views. Children will find it fun scrambling over rocks and splashing about in the water, or even taking a refreshing dip! There are a few cafés and informal restaurants dotted around for lunch or drinks, and activity bases offering pedalo, kayak and canoe hire.
