There are numerous walks to be enjoyed in the immediate vicinity. Some require permits in the height of summer. A popular route is the Río Majaceite which follows the path down the side of the river, through woodland and a tunnel of vegetation. It commences in Benamahoma and leads down to El Bosque.
It is possible to rent bikes and cycle through the beautiful countryside. There are routes for all levels and all have impressive views from start to finish.
The best way to explore the centre of Grazalema is on foot. Wander around the narrow cobbled streets, enjoy a cool drink and tapa in one of the pretty squares, or admire the views from various miradors. The shops sell local produce such as cheese, cured meats and wine, as well as the traditional woolen Grazalema blankets.
Voted one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, a visit to Ronda is an absolute must. Here you aill find the breath-taking gorge with its impressive bridge and viewpoints, as well as a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops.
