The beaches
Vigo is blessed with a collection of beautiful beaches, ranging from long sandy stretches to sheltered coves along the estuary and nearby Atlantic coast. With golden sands, clear waters and scenic island views, they are ideal for swimming, relaxing or enjoying coastal walks, all within easy reach of the city.
Catch the ferry
Regular ferries run from Vigo to the stunning Cíes Islands, part of the Atlantic Islands National Park. The short crossing makes it easy to escape to pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters and unspoilt walking trails, offering a perfect day trip from the city.
Hire bikes
if you plan to gently pedal around Vigo then the da Auga Route is for you. It runs parallel to the Ria de Vigo and has wonderful views. In the forest parks like Bembrive and A Guieira there are some tracks for mountain biking.
