This traditional villa, which has been decorated using a subtle blend of neutral and pastel tones, provides a comfortable layout for groups and extended families. On the split level ground floor, there is a double bedroom, an open plan living area and fully fitted kitchen, convenient for preparing leisurely breakfasts before stepping immediately outside to enjoy the sea views with a morning coffee and local pastry. Stairs lead up to the first floor where all three bedrooms have access to a private balcony with vistas over Corfu's rugged landscape and the glistening sea in the distance.

Set within grounds of palms and autochthonous shrubs, the villa’s exterior offers guests ample space to relax and enjoy the wonderful views. The private pool, with a triangular shallow section at one end, is bordered by a spacious sun terrace. Whether reclining on a sun lounger, or enjoying a leisurely game of table tennis, there is something here to captivate every member of the family. An in-built barbecue house, and further exterior dining, on a lower level to the side of the property encourages al fresco suppers on balmy evenings.

When you are able to prise yourself away from these serene and peaceful surroundings, the more active will be pleased to know that windsurfing and canoeing are available just a short distance away. The sought-after and iconic San Stefanos (5km) offers waterfront tavernas, a local mini-market and boat hire. Closer to a home, a small shop and taverna can be found within a minute's drive.

Great Things to Do Near Nafsika

St Spiridon Lake's ornithological nature reserve

A lake and wetland reserve, of great interest to bird watchers in particular, but also to nature lovers in general and to walkers. It is the temporary or permanent habitat of more than 100 bird species, as well as many rare and beautiful plants. You will find this interesting lagoon and the beautiful beach and discreet coves nearby a short distance down from the main road linking Kassiopi with Acharavi.

Visit Pontokinissi (Mouse Island)

What a lovely way to spend a half day. Take a trip out to the Kanoni peninsula (literally at the end of the airport runway) and enjoy a coffee on the waterfront café there, next to the Vlahernon monastery, which is also an Island but has been connected to the Kanoni Peninsula by a small causeway. It’s from this small causeway that you take the regular boat crossing over to Pontokinissi – about a 5 minute boat trip away. A very tranquil spot, and don’t forget your swimming gear, as you can enjoy a lovely swim here.

The Big Red Bus

Drive down to Corfu Town and pick up the Big Red Bus from the port. This relatively new service is an open-topped, 'Hop On / Hop Off' bus that takes you on a guided tour all around Corfu Town and the outlying areas. It’s a great way to see and hear about the Town's history and highlights.

Explore the north-east coast by boat

Hire a boat for the day to explore the beautiful north-east coast, probably the prettiest coastline here on the island. You can stop off in any number of little coves that can only be discovered by sea, go for a swim or try some snorkelling, before heading to one of the bays (Agni, Kalami or San Stefanos) for a spot of lunch.

Agni by boat

Hire a small motor boat for the day to explore the beautiful coastline of the north-east corner of the island. You may like to plan a midday stop at the famous bay of Agni, which is well known for its three tavernas. Tether the boat at the jetty and enjoy a leisurely lunch beside the beach.

Angelocastro and Paleocastritsa

If you drive over to the west coast, you will find a complete contrast to the north-east coastline, with steep cliffs and spectacular scenery. Visit the Byzantine Castle of Angelocastro, built centuries ago to protect the island. The views are amazing and there is a little cafe at the bottom to refresh yourself before heading down to Paleocastritsa. Here there are two bays surrounded by cliffs where you can hire a pedalo to explore further. Visit the monastery set above the little village, or just sample one of the tavernas lining the little bays.

Sunset supper!

For romantics and fish lovers alike. Some of the best fish restaurants can be found in San Stefanos, sitting at the waterside, sipping wine whilst watching the mountains of Albania in front of you changing colours with the sun going down, delicious!

Corfu Town

The old town is an absolute gem. Visit the palaces, climb the fortresses (one old and one new!), explore the maze of cobbled streets and get a sense of its Venetian history, or simply sit in a courtyard, bedecked with flowers and people-watch.

Snorkelling

Head to Kerasia beach where the water is sublimely clear and protective rocks create a perfect bay ideal for snorkelling.

Sailing at Avlaki

A perfectly positioned sailing school which offers lessons for beginners, or local knowledge for the more experienced, in one of the most stunning beaches of the island. There are a selection of toppers, lasers and windsurfers to choose from.

Sail on a glass bottom boat

Leaving Paleokastritsa daily over the main season, you'll see amazing undersea wonders, visit incredible caves close to Ermones that can only be accessed from the water, and enjoy an afternoon on Paradise Beach - a huge expanse of white sand/shingle beach and aquamarine sea also only accessible by boat.

A fun day out at Aqualand

Corfu Aqualand, near to the village of Agios Ioannis, is one of the largest water parks in Europe and features 51 slides, several pools, a lazy river and a wide variety of other water attractions. There’s something for all ages here and it is a great way to keep the whole family entertained.

Visit Mon Repos

A visit to Mon Repos is well worthwhile. A Royal mansion, with huge gardens, fountains, ancient trees and plants. Also famed for being the birthplace of Prince Philip. Mon Repos is only a 20 minute walk from the centre of the old town of Corfu, at the start of the Kanoni peninsula.
