Villas in Machairado

Machairado is the 2nd largest village in Zakynthos, located in a lush fertile valley at the foot of the mountains. Here you will find yourself in a fertile green landscape of grape vines and pine trees.

Amongst various examples of traditional Greek architecture, the most famous landmark here is the Agia Mavra church, one of the oldest on the island with impressive bells which at times can be heard around the entire island.

The village celebrates numerous festivals, the main ones hosted around 3rd May and 15th August, this is the perfect opportunity for guests to immerse themselves and to experience the authentic Zakynthos culture and customs.
