This area is the heart of Tuscany and ideal for those wishing to visit many of the places featured in Tuscan guidebooks. These include the Etruscan city of Volterra (28km), the piazza ‘Il Campo’ of Siena (48km), the famous Chianti villages (Castellina, Greve, Radda) and of course, the capital of Tuscany, Florence (60km). Hop on the train at Certaldo or Poggibonsi and an hour later you will be in the heart of this magnificent city and its Renaissance delights.
