A sleek and up-to-the-minute design providing contemporary living in a prime location is to be found at this smart coastal home, which sits off a cobbled lane in the picturesque village of Moledo do Minho, just 300m from the nearest local restaurant and only 1.1km from the sweeping shoreline of golden sands.

In the sought-after style so favoured by current architecture, the façade of Casa do Prado is almost entirely filled by wide floor-to-ceiling patio doors and windows that seamlessly connect the interior and exterior spaces.  Fashionably equipped with smooth grey units, the stylish kitchen looks out across a spacious and light-filled open plan living area, through this glass façade, to an enticing wood-decked veranda, where a further area of seating can be found for dining and lounging alongside the pool. The look is clean and uncluttered, whilst cleverly hidden in a separate room behind is a second kitchen for dishwashing and preparation out of sight.

The same abundance of light is enjoyed by the bedrooms, all of which benefit from full width patio doors and a pleasing range of thoughtful details to ensure the most comfortable of stays: remotely controlled black-out blinds, air conditioning and in-built wardrobes that light up when opened.

It is, however, outside in the spacious grounds that surround this stylish home that much of your time will no doubt be spent. Leisurely meals al fresco on the veranda, refreshing swims in the longer than average pool and quiet moments of repose whilst soaking up the picturesque vista of river and hills can all be enjoyed before wandering along the cobbled village lanes down to the seafront to discover the scenic shoreline, its fashionable waterfront cafes and restaurants and friendly village ambience.
