Locations such as that enjoyed by Cape do not come along too often! This does, however, mean a decision has to be made on how best to start the day… a swim in the infinity edge pool, taking in the stunning sea view from the Cukurbag Peninsula, or perhaps a dip in the sea from your own private rocky beach accessed via a path from the pool terrace.

Cape is a cleverly designed contemporary property built to take advantage of this exquisite ocean side location. Built on a hillside, the bedrooms are located on the pool level floor, all of which have direct access to the pool terrace and are kept cool with air conditioning. The living areas and kitchen are above and boast spacious dining areas including a fabulous covered terrace from which to drink in those heavenly sea views and spectacular sunsets. An additional bedroom with en suite facilities sits independently, with its own exterior access, and is ideal for those who wish to be a part of the action but also retain some extra privacy.

For those who are able to tear themselves away from this idyll, the picturesque town of Kaş (6km) is a short drive away, where the narrow back streets are lined with tiny shops selling local artisan products and the delightful square is a charming spot to relax and people watch, whilst eating a spot of Turkish cuisine. There is a public beach (3.6km) on the peninsula called Belediye Halk Beach as well as day trips further afield, including the ancient ruins of Patara which are just one hour's drive. Perhaps try a gulet cruise trip for the day where food and drink is provided whilst you cruise to unspoilt swimming and snorkelling spots. There are plenty of options from the old port in Kaş.

  • Due to terraced grounds, unprotected drops and direct sea access via a ladder, younger children or those with limited mobility will need supervision.

Great Things to Do Near Cape

Akcagerme Beach at Kas

is shallow and calm with crystal clear water.  The designated swimming area is roped off.  Sun loungers and parasols are available to hire.   There is a small water park behind with a selection of slides.  There is a bar serving drinks and snacks.

Explore Kaş

Enjoy wandering around the narrow cobbled streets of the historic town centre. They are lined with small shops selling local products. Look up at the overhanging balconies with their bright and colourful bougainvillea spilling over. The main square is the focal point where tables are laid out inviting one and all to enjoy a refreshing drink or delicious meal of fresh, local produce.

Cross over to Greece

Take the opportunity to visit the closest Greek island to Turkey, Kastolorizo, just 3.5 nautical miles off the coast of Kaş. After a short but scenic crossing explore the delights of this quaint Greek fishing village, including the local museum, church and mosque. Wander round the white washed back streets before enjoying a lunch on the harbour front. Don't forget your passport!

Hellenistic Theatre

Just a 10 minute walk from Kas, well worth the trip to experience this amazing amphitheatre with the most beautiful views of the sea and the coastline.  One of the oldest stone theatres in Anatolia it has been carefully restored and now plays host to a variety of artistic activities such as plays and concerts.

Visit the Lycian sites

at Myra, where you will be able to explore the spectacular Lycian, Greek and Roman ruins of this ancient city, including one of the best preserved amphitheatres and spectacular rock tombs. Entrance to St Nicholas Church is available, but as an optional extra.

A ‘must see’ is the ancient site of Xanthos

It was one of the six principal cities of Lycia and due to being one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Turkey it has been registered in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. Of note are the pillar tombs (unique to Lycia) and the Harpy column tomb with frieze. The 'Harpy Tomb' is so called as it was believed that the winged women figures in the frieze were harpies - monsters from Greek mythology with the head of a woman and the body of a bird.

Canoeing on the Xanthos river

Enjoy a fun day river canoeing on the Xanthos river. You can travel across ancient Lycian lands of lush and tranquil nature. The ride is downstream, so it's not hard going. The journey ends at Patara beach with time for a swim.

Mountain trekking

Trekking in the Taurus  mountain range you will find some of the most beautiful scenery. Below the tree line and winter snow are the yayla (highland plateaus). Trek through canyons, gorges and passes - many of these gorges were important trade routes, some still in use, some completely forgotten, though all at one time jealously guarded.

Ride horses through the sand dunes of Patara

There are stables within the Patara National Park that cater for riders and non-riders of all ages and ability. Due to the strict conservation laws there is not a building to be seen, which is what makes this beach so special - endless golden sands, surrounded by nature, so it's perfect for an early morning ride enjoying the beautiful scenery!

Explore the Saklikent Gorge

It's the second-largest (20 km long) gorge in Europe, with spectacular scenery and 4 kms of the gorge is walkable. Outside the gorge, restaurants have wooden platforms suspended just above rushing spring waters - great places to relax on Turkish rugs and cushions with a beer. You have to cross the water - beware, it's knee deep and fast flowing. Wear swim shoes - these can be hired if you don't have any.
