Beaches

Fiscardo offers easy access to many great beaches such as the ever popular Myrtos beach on the west coast south of Fiscardo and Embilisi (framed by the chalk cliffs of the Erissos peninsular), a nearby pebble bay complete with a taverna. Another close by is Foki which is particularly good for snorkelling.

Explore

Hire a boat and discover countless bays and coves within easy reach of Fiscardo. 

Around 30 minutes south of Fiscardo is the castle at Assos built in the 16th century by Venetians at the request of Kefalonians and used as recently as during the Second World War. 

Explore Fiscardo’s shops on the harbour front and backstreets for clothes, jewellery and ceramics.

Activities

Walk around Fiscardo and explore the old Venetian lighthouse and Byzantine church. 

There are several scuba diving centres on the island with the Aquatic Scuba Diving Club in Agia Efimia on the north east coast (approx. 45 minutes’ drive from Fiscardo).

Island Hop

The beautiful island of Lefkada (or Lefkas) is within reach from Fiscardo (approx. one hour) via the car ferry service arriving at Vasiliki in Lefkada.  Just 15 minutes south of Vasiliki lies the beach of Agiofili, with its crystal-clear water, white soft sand and sheltered by white stone cliffs, a beautiful setting.
