Vintage Travel is delighted to have added a fantastic new property to our programme in Andalucía, the fabulous La Almena Blanca. This stylish, contemporary property comprises of three bedrooms and two bathrooms and can sleep up to five guests.
La Almena Blanca is nestled in the heart of the mountainous surroundings of inland Andalucía, just a five-minute drive from the pretty whitewashed village of El Gastor. The villa boasts incredible views looking over the azure waters of the Emblase de Zahara lake down below and stretching across to majestic mountains of the Zahara de la Sierra in the distance.
La Almena Blanca has been custom-built to a unique style, comprising of a Gaudi-esque design and décor inspired by the owner’s travels. The villa radiates style, comfort and character, with truly unique architecture and quirky features, such as a striking staircase with a wave-like motif.
High ceilings elevated by whitewashed walls craft a sense of spaciousness and vitality, augmented further by the vibrant colours of nature that surround the villa – the cobalt sky above, the tree-carpeted mountains in the distance, and the sparkling lake down below.
The unique beauty of rural, inland Andalucía is optimised by La Almena Blanca’s large windows, from which the majestic mountains and crystal clear lake can be marvelled at.
The villa’s exterior also makes the most of the incredible landscape that surrounds it. A private infinity-edge swimming pool blends seamlessly with this idyllic setting, while covered and open terraces provide the perfect spot to relax and drink in the fabulous view.
Outdoor wining and dining on the terrace using the built-in barbecue is there to be enjoyed, under the bright Andalusian stars, which with virtually no light pollution, are likely to be brighter than you’ve ever seen them before.
We wouldn’t blame you for not wanting to leave La Almena Blanca but with such beauty on your doorstep, you simply have to explore this unique part of Spain.
The pretty village of El Gastor is just a stone’s throw from La Almena Blanca, known in the Cadiz province as the ‘balcony of the white villages’. This small but lively village has all the amenities you’ll need for your holiday, including a number of shops, bakers, butchers, fishmongers, a chemist, and more. There’s plenty of friendly restaurants and tapas bars in El Gastor, where you can become acquainted with the delicious local dishes.
Just a 35-minute drive from the villa is the famous whitewashed town of Ronda. This mountaintop town sits high above a dramatic gorge. Dating back to the 15th century and to Spain’s Moorish rule, Ronda is widely regarded as a ‘must see’ Andalusian town.
La Almena Blanca is available to hire from May 13, 2017 until the end of October and from the beginning of May 2018 until the end of October.
