Ferreries is a small community situated in the centre of Menorca, it is the highest town on the island and features an historic old town area, with cobbled streets and multi-coloured houses. Ferreries was founded in the 18th century when the Church of St Bartholomew was built. An annual festival for St Bartholomew is held at the end of August.
