Luxury villa near Santa Barbara – Corvo

Corvo is a smashing luxury villa near Santa Barbara which is set in the beautiful and peaceful countryside of the Algarve. Away from the tourist hordes, Corvo offers relaxation in style amid tranquil farmland with great views over the tree-clad undulating hills.

The house sleeps eight people in two double and two twin bedrooms. The bedrooms are bright and modern with blue, green and yellow being the predominant colours. This fresh and vibrant colour scheme that mirrors the sky, the sun and the countryside, runs through the whole house.

The dining and sitting rooms are open-plan with stylish furnishings. Light floods in through doors which lead onto the poolside terrace. The sofas are sumptuous and plump and there is an emphasis on pure unbridled comfort.

Corvo’s kitchen is modern but cute at the same time with a quirky little angle in one corner where the oven is positioned. With all the modern kitchen appliances at hand there is no excuse for not being able to get some great meals on the go.

Externally is archetypal of a holiday good time area. The huge space around the pool is designed for sunbathing and relaxing, taking in the incredible views which stretch over the Portuguese countryside. The villa’s green and well-maintained lawn provides a great space for playing games or simply throwing down a towel and breaking out a good book and a chilled glass of wine.

An in-built barbecue and outside dining area enables some serious al fresco dining to take place under the starry Portuguese night sky.

18 kilometres from the house you can enjoy the fantastic beaches at the fashionable resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago.  At Vale do Lobo the beach is backed by red sandstone cliffs topped by an emerald green golf course. You do not have to play golf in order to enjoy the resort but if you were to take the game up as a beginner then Vale do Lobo would be one heck of a place to start.

Closer to home is the atmospheric village of Santa Barbara where several decent restaurants, a supermarket and a chemist can be found.
