Stay at Apanemia Mare: A stunning country villa on Corfu’s south-east coast

Vintage Travel is thrilled to launch a fabulous new property, which is now live on our website for 2017 and 2018 – the incredible Apanemia Mare on the sun-drenched island of Corfu.

Apanemia Mare

Apanemia Mare is nestled on a hillside, clad with olive groves on the south-east coast of Corfu. The property has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and can sleep up to eight guests. This beautiful country villa is just a short stroll to a pretty little cove, where pebbles are licked with the translucent water of the Ionian Sea.

Apanemia Mare is decorated to an exceptionally high standard. The villa’s owner, Haris, is highly skilled at making quirky pieces of furniture out of driftwood, fabulous furnishings that feature around the house. This comfortably furnished villa exudes style and finesse and boasts all the mod-cons you’ll require for a home-from-home stay in one of the prettiest areas of Corfu, including air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen.

Open tread steps lead to a mezzanine with twin beds, another fabulous feature of this beautifully-designed villa. Being spread over two levels, Apanemia Mare is a great choice of accommodation for sharing parties seeking some privacy.

Externally, Apanemia Mare is equally as delightful; a long sun terrace provides an idyllic spot to enjoy basking under the cobalt Corfu sky. A shaded dining area with a built-in barbecue crafts some much-needed shade to wine, dine, read a book and relax, whilst looking out to the stunning Ionian Sea sparkling in the distance.

A private pool blends in with the idyllic ambience, augmented further by an emerald lawn and olive trees which surround Apanemia Mare. For guests who enjoy a game of tennis, the property’s private tennis court will enable you to practice your tennis skills within a utopic rural landscape.

Just a stone’s throw from Apanemia Mare down a tranquil coastal lane is a pretty shingle beach. There’s also several tavernas within walking distance from Apanemia Mare, including the renowned Fisherman’s Haunt, well-known for serving quality Greek dishes.

The livelier town of Messonghi is just 2.2 kilometres from the villa, where a choice of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops can be explored and enjoyed.
