Cap Roig Festival 2012

If you are a Bob Dylan fan and a lover of Spain then you could do a whole lot worse than travel down to Jardines de Cap Roig near Palafrugell this July to witness the legendary singer open the Cap Roig Festival 2012.

On Saturday 14th July 2012, this annual outdoor musical event is being held in the most inspirational of settings – Jardines de Cap Roig. These beautiful botanical gardens are located at the apex of Calella de Palafrugel, a picture-perfect fishing village on what is possibly most beautiful, affluent and unspoilt part of the Costa Brava.

Asides being a fragrant mesh of colour, fertility and bucolic-inspiration, the Jardines de Cap Roig boast wondrous views of the Mediterranean down below, framed by a dense forest of pine trees.

In a situation this stunning, no wonder Bob Dylan wants to open this year’s Cap Roig Festival! Asides the iconic star, this year’s Cap Roig festival 2012 lineup sees an interesting mix of old and new, with many other great international and Spanish artists including Tony Bennett, Ben Harper, George Benson, Simple Minds, James Morrison, Ben Harper, Paul Anka, Alejandro Sanz and Joaquin Cortes, making their way to this particularly beautiful part of the Costa Brava this July!

What is one of Catalonia’s most popular outdoor concerts is sponsored by La Caixa Bank and is typically a sell-out event – No wonder with a line up this impressive!

Bob Dylan obviously has a partiality for Spain and a touch of Spanish culture as the legendary artist is also headlining Benicassim Festival, which is taking place just before the Jardines Cap Roig Festival on the 12 – 15 July 2012!
