Villa Laurel – A luxury family villa in Andalucia

Villa Laurel, Roche Viejo – An ideal “get away from it all” luxury family villa in Andalucia. Situated amongst a thicket of pine trees a stone’s throw from the golden beaches of the Costa de la Luz, the immaculate Villa Laurel offers first-rate self-catering accommodation on one of Spain’s finest stretches of coastline.

This three bedroom semi-detached cottage can comfortably sleep six. With its white-washed walls and ceramic tiled floor the villa radiates the interior style and charm Andalucia has become synonymous with. While rustic in its exterior, this charming cottage is kitted out with all the modern-day necessities that will help make your stay here as easy as possible. Furnished in chunky wood and luxurious thick upholstery the lounge calls out for you to slump on the sofa and relax and unwind. Wooden doors with medieval black iron fittings welcome the guests and this simple provincial look is prevalent throughout the whole of the villa.

On the first floor there is a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms as well a second shower room. All the bedrooms are tastefully laid out and despite their ample size generate a homely, cosy vibe. Having so much space to spread out in, Laurel is a great house for a large family or a group of friends to spend some quality holiday time in.

Villa Laurel’s exterior is just as tasteful as its interior with a secluded garden boasting a decent sized pool with Roman steps. It has to be said that this part of Spain is blessed with year-round sunshine and mild winters and it is possible to return home with an enviable suntan regardless of the month of your visit. With an immaculate emerald lawn next to the pool, Villa Laurel offers the perfect spot to fulfil aspirations for a winter suntan. And wherever there’s winter sunshine some al fresco dining is also achievable and with an in-built barbecue and spacious outside dining terrace, Laurel is certainly geared towards wining and dining under the starry Andulucian sky.

A short, ten-minute drive through the fragrant pine forests will take you to a vast stretch of golden sand. Spain might be widely associated with the Mediterranean but this light-bathed expanse faces the Atlantic Ocean and unlike many parts of the Med, remains largely unspoilt.

This untouched stretch of soft, white sand spreads to the quaint fishing village of Conil de La Frontera. With its narrow cobbled streets and divine seafood restaurants Conil de La Frontera is a delight to visit.  Closer to the villa is the village of El Colorado, which is within walking distance and has a handful of quality restaurants, bars and shops.

Located at the point where Spain meets the Atlantic Ocean, Villa Laurel is without doubt in a beautiful part of the world. With its pretty private garden and thoughtful and tasteful décor, Villa Laurel provides an ideal “get away from it all” destination.
