Villa Montgri

Villa Montgri – In the heart of one of the Costa Brava’s most desirable spots!

Villa Montgri, in the traditional yet upmarket fishing town of Tamariu on the Costa Brava, is a fabulous new addition to Vintage Travel’s Catalan programme.  This stylish and modern four bedroom, three bathroom villa sleeps eight guests who can all spread out and relax in the spacious grounds.

Villa Montgri

Villa Montgri is just a short downhill stroll to Aigua Xelida Beach, a pretty little cove on this beautiful stretch of rugged and invigorating Costa Brava coastline.

This bright and airy villa is tastefully decorated in a modern design and with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a well-equipped modern kitchen, and a living/dining room with a TV, PlayStation 3 and DVD, it has all the mod-cons for a real home-from-home vibe.

The four bedrooms have been done up in a similar modern and bright design, two of which have convenient en-suite facilities. Augmenting the sophisticated, modern feel of the villa is an internal lift that connects the two levels.

Villa Montgri’s exterior is equally as plush, comprising of both open and semi-covered terraces so that guests can decide whether they want to soak up those strong Catalan rays or stay cool in the shade. Outdoor dining is ultra-convenient at Villa Montgri, as the villa boasts an outdoor dining and chill-out area with a pull-out awning and two barbecues – one gas and one charcoal.

For guests who fancy getting active during their stay at Villa Montrgri, as well as a good-sized private swimming pool, there is table football, a mini pool table and air hockey.

With central heating and a heated pool, Villa Montgri is perfect accommodation for those chillier, out-of-season visits to the Costa Brava.

If you can manage to prise your party from Villa Montgri then a charismatic mix of traditional and sophisticated Catalan living is on your doorstep. The pretty fishing village of Tamariu is less than 1000 metres from the house where you’ll find some great seafood restaurants and bars, straddled along a sandy horseshoe bay. Tamariu is also home to a number of shops where you’ll be able to pick up all those necessary holiday items.

Slightly further along the coast lie the upmarket fishing villages of Llanfranc, Calella de Palafrugell and the larger inland town of Palafrugell, which has a great weekly market.

One of the biggest pleasures of visiting this region of the Costa Brava has to be meandering along the natural stone-paved narrow path that ascends and descends along this craggy stretch of coastline, dropping by the characterful and chic towns and villages of this ultra-desirable part of Catalonia.
